GOLDEN TICKET COMPETITIONS

📜 Terms & Conditions

Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before creating an account or entering a competition. By entering, you confirm that you have read and accepted them.

1. The Promoter

The promoter is Golden Ticket Competitions, company number 15809779 (“the Promoter”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

Registered office and correspondence address:
7 Oval Crescent,
Ellesmere Port,
Cheshire,
CH65 5EZ

Email: [email protected]

2. The Competition

These Terms & Conditions apply to all competitions listed on the Promoter’s Website at www.goldenticketcompetitions.co.uk .

We may offer competitions in different formats. An entry fee is normally payable for each paid entry. Entrants may be required to answer a Competition Question or solve a problem.

Where an easy or multiple-choice question is used, or where no Competition Question is asked, a free postal entry route will be available in accordance with section 4.

The specific prize, entry price, maximum number of entries, individual entry limits, Opening Date, Closing Date and any additional rules will be displayed on the relevant competition page.

3. How to Enter

Each competition will run from the Opening Date until the Closing Date shown on the Website. All dates and times are based on London, England time.

We may change an Opening Date or Closing Date where reasonably necessary. Any change will be displayed on the Website. A Closing Date will not be extended simply to sell more entries.

Entries must be successfully received before the advertised Closing Date and time. Late entries will be disqualified and will not be refunded.

Where a maximum number of entries or a maximum entry limit per person applies, this will be displayed on the competition page. No further entries will be accepted once the applicable limit has been reached.

All entrants, including free postal entrants, must create a Website account before entering. Only one account per person is permitted. Multiple or duplicate accounts may be closed, all associated entries may be declared void and the entrant may be prevented from entering future competitions.

To enter online, you must:

  1. Log in to your Website account.
  2. Select the competition and number of entries required.
  3. Complete the online entry process and provide the requested information.
  4. Pay the applicable entry fee.
  5. Submit your answer to the Competition Question, where applicable.
  6. Accept these Terms & Conditions.

All entries must be submitted in English. Entries submitted in another language may be disqualified without refund.

Paid entrants will normally receive confirmation that their order has been received. Confirmation of an order does not guarantee eligibility or confirm that an entrant has won.

We are not responsible for entries that are lost, delayed, incomplete or not successfully submitted due to equipment failure, internet or network problems, server issues, payment failure, software faults or any other technical malfunction outside our reasonable control.

By purchasing or submitting an entry, you enter into a contract with the Promoter and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

4. Free Postal Entry

You may enter an eligible competition without paying an entry fee by sending an individual entry by first or second class post to:

Golden Ticket Comps Ltd
PO Box 241
Ellesmere Port
CH34 9FW

Each postal entry must clearly include:

  • The full name or details of the competition being entered.
  • Your full name.
  • Your full postal address.
  • Your contact telephone number.
  • Your email address.
  • Your answer to the Competition Question, where applicable.

All details must be legible and must match the details registered on your Website account. You must have an active Website account before your postal entry is processed.

Each free entry must be completed and posted separately. Multiple entries sent in the same envelope will be treated as one entry only. Hand-delivered entries, bulk entries, incomplete entries and illegible entries will not be accepted.

Postal entries must be received before the advertised Closing Date and time. Proof of posting is not proof of receipt and does not guarantee entry into the draw.

We will not confirm receipt of a postal entry or confirm whether the Competition Question was answered correctly.

If the competition sells out or reaches its entry limit before a postal entry is received and processed, that postal entry will not be included in the draw.

By submitting a postal entry, you confirm that you are eligible to enter and agree to these Terms & Conditions.

5. Refunds, Cancellations & Account Credit

Entry fees are non-refundable once an order has been completed, except where a refund is required by law or expressly authorised by the Promoter.

No refund will be provided where:

  • You answer the Competition Question incorrectly.
  • You change your mind after purchasing entries.
  • You purchase duplicate or unwanted entries.
  • You fail to enter before the Closing Date.
  • You later discover that you are not eligible to enter or claim the Prize.
  • Eligibility requirements change and you are no longer eligible.
  • You are disqualified or your entries are declared void for any reason.
  • You provide incorrect, incomplete or out-of-date account information.
  • You withdraw from a competition or ask us to delete information required to administer your entry.

Where we cancel a competition and do not complete the draw, affected paid entries will be dealt with in accordance with applicable law. Where appropriate, we may issue a refund or account credit.

Account credit has no cash value, cannot normally be withdrawn or transferred, and must be used in accordance with any conditions or expiry date stated when the credit is issued.

6. Choosing a Winner

Entrants who correctly answer the Competition Question will be included in the random draw. Where no Competition Question is asked, all valid and eligible entries will be included.

Winners will be selected using a random draw process. The draw will take place as soon as reasonably practicable and normally within seven days of the Closing Date.

Entrants’ names and entry numbers may be included on a draw list or spreadsheet displayed during a live draw or published on the Website.

To request that your name is not publicly displayed on the draw list, email [email protected] as soon as possible and at least 48 hours before the draw. Your entry number may still be displayed where required to operate or verify the draw.

Requests for help with an entry should be sent to [email protected].

7. Eligibility & Disqualification

Competitions are open only to residents of the United Kingdom who are aged 18 or over, excluding:

  • Employees of the Promoter.
  • Employees of agents or suppliers professionally connected with the competition.
  • Immediate family members or household members of the people listed above.

By entering, you confirm that you are eligible to enter and eligible to receive the Prize. We may request identification, proof of age, proof of address, proof of account ownership or any other information reasonably required to verify eligibility.

Failure to provide satisfactory evidence within the time requested may result in disqualification, forfeiture of the Prize and selection of another winner.

We will not accept entries that are:

  • Automatically generated by a computer, bot, script or other automated process.
  • Incomplete, inaccurate, fraudulent or submitted using false details.
  • Connected with multiple, duplicate or unauthorised accounts.

We may disqualify any entrant whose behaviour is abusive, threatening, fraudulent, dishonest, disruptive or contrary to the spirit or proper operation of the competition.

If an entrant engages in actual or suspected fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, concealment, hacking, unauthorised interference with the Website, payment abuse, chargeback abuse or unauthorised use or alteration of Website code, we may:

  • Declare all of their entries void.
  • Close or suspend their account.
  • Withhold or recover prizes or account credit.
  • Refuse any refund.
  • Prevent them from entering future competitions.
  • Report the matter to relevant service providers or authorities where appropriate.
8. The Prize

The prize for each competition (“the Prize”) will be described on the relevant competition page. Prize information is provided in good faith and is believed to be correct at the Opening Date.

Prizes are subject to availability. Where reasonably necessary, we may substitute a Prize with another prize or cash alternative of equal or greater value.

Where a stated cash alternative is available, the winner may choose between the advertised Prize and the stated cash alternative, subject to the competition description.

We may substitute the Prize with a cash payment where the Prize becomes unavailable or circumstances outside our reasonable control make substitution necessary.

A Prize may be supplied by a third-party supplier. Supplier details may be shown on the competition page or provided to the winner.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no guarantee or warranty regarding a Prize’s condition, value, suitability or fitness for a particular purpose beyond any rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Prizes are non-transferable and non-negotiable unless we expressly agree otherwise.

9. Winners & Prize Claims

The Promoter’s decision regarding the operation and outcome of a competition is final, subject to applicable law.

Winners will be contacted using the telephone number or email address registered on their account as soon as reasonably practicable after the draw.

If a winner cannot be contacted, fails to respond, does not complete verification or does not claim the Prize within 14 days of the Draw Date, we may disqualify that winner and select another eligible entrant.

A Prize must be claimed personally by the winner and cannot be claimed by another person on their behalf unless we expressly agree otherwise.

Winners are responsible for keeping their account and contact details accurate. Changes should be emailed to [email protected] and must include the relevant competition, previous details and updated details.

Where details are changed within five days of a Closing Date, we may initially use the previous details when attempting to contact the winner.

Cash prizes will be transferred to a bank account nominated by the winner. We may require evidence that the winner is the sole or joint beneficiary of that account. Failure to provide satisfactory evidence within 14 days may result in disqualification and forfeiture of the Prize.

We are not responsible for a winner being unable or unwilling to accept, collect or use a Prize.

10. Winner Information & Publicity

We must publish or make available information showing that a valid award took place. We may publish the surname and county of major prize winners on the Website or provide that information to a person who writes to the Promoter within one month of the Closing Date and includes a self-addressed envelope.

A winner’s name, image, town or county and Prize details may also be shared on our Website, social media pages and promotional channels for transparency and publicity.

Winners may be asked to participate in reasonable publicity, including photographs, videos, winner announcements or prize handovers.

To object to the publication of your surname, county or winning entry, or to decline optional publicity, email [email protected] before the Closing Date.

An objection will not affect your chances of winning. However, we may still be required to provide winner information to the Advertising Standards Authority or another authorised body upon request.

11. Data Protection

Personal information provided by entrants will be held and used by the Promoter and its authorised agents, payment providers, platform providers and suppliers to administer competitions, process entries, verify eligibility, prevent fraud, contact winners and deliver prizes.

Personal information will otherwise be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available on the Website.

Winners may be required to provide additional personal information and proof of identity, age, address or bank account ownership before a Prize is released.

Where information is necessary to verify eligibility or transfer a Prize, withdrawing consent or refusing to provide that information may prevent us from awarding the Prize. In that situation, the winner may be treated as having withdrawn, will forfeit the Prize and will not receive a refund.

You may request that we stop sending marketing communications without withdrawing from a competition. However, if you request deletion of information that is required to administer your entry or contact you as a winner, we may be unable to continue processing your entry.

Data protection or marketing requests should be emailed to [email protected].

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents, suppliers and distributors will not be responsible for loss, damage, injury or death arising from acceptance or use of a Prize, except where caused by their negligence or where liability cannot legally be excluded.

We are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, loss caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, or a winner’s failure to use a Prize safely, lawfully or as intended.

Your statutory rights are not affected.

13. Vehicle Prize Terms

Where a Prize is a vehicle:

  • Unless stated otherwise, we will ensure that it has a valid MOT where an MOT is legally required.
  • Insurance is not included. The winner must arrange suitable insurance before using the vehicle on a public road.
  • Vehicle excise duty, road tax, registration costs, fuel, servicing and ongoing maintenance are not included unless expressly stated.
  • Once the vehicle has been delivered or collected, the winner is responsible for its ownership, security, maintenance and lawful use.
  • The winner must hold any licence, qualification, experience or permission required to operate the vehicle legally and safely.
  • The winner is responsible for obtaining and wearing any necessary protective clothing and safety equipment, including helmets, boots or gloves.
  • The winner must comply with all laws and regulations relating to the possession and use of the vehicle.
14. Golden Ticket Promotions & Bonus Offers

Promotions, bonus offers, giveaways, live games and promotional tickets may be subject to additional conditions displayed at the time of the promotion.

  • Entrants must be UK residents aged 18 or over.
  • By entering, entrants agree to these Website Terms & Conditions.
  • Unless stated otherwise, promotional entries are limited to one per customer.
  • All promotional tickets or entries may be individually numbered.
  • Credit prizes will be applied directly to the winner’s Website account.
  • Cash prizes will be paid to the winner’s verified bank account.
  • Where expressly stated in the promotion, entrants may be required to upload or submit their promotional ticket in our Facebook group to validate and claim a Prize.
  • Tickets must be genuine, clearly visible and submitted within any stated deadline.
  • Altered, duplicated, fraudulent or previously claimed tickets will be rejected.

Where specific promotional rules conflict with this section, the rules published with that promotion will apply, provided they are lawful and clearly communicated.

15. General Terms

We may amend these Terms & Conditions where reasonably necessary. The latest version will be published on the Website.

Where we reasonably believe these Terms & Conditions have been breached, we may exclude an entrant from the relevant competition and from future competitions.

We reserve the right to hold void, suspend, cancel or amend a competition where reasonably necessary, including where circumstances outside our control prevent the competition from operating fairly or as intended.

Competitions do not require a minimum number of entries. We will not cancel, suspend or amend a competition merely because an insufficient number of entries have been sold.

Competitions and promotions are not sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Facebook, Instagram or Meta unless expressly stated. Entrants release those platforms from responsibility for the administration of our competitions.

If any part of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force.

These Terms & Conditions are governed by English law. The parties submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that apply.

You should retain a copy of these Terms & Conditions for your records.
